Terms of Service

Effective date: August 12, 2026 — this is the same document shown inside the TripLyt app.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") describe the rules for using TripLyt ("we," "us," "our," or the "App"). They work together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

The App is not intended for children under 16. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, or that you have a parent's or guardian's permission to use it.

3. Your Account

Some features require signing in with Google or an email account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Contact us right away at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions, Purchases and Payments

5. User-Generated Content

You keep ownership of any content you create in the App — trips, itineraries, packing lists, photos, comments, and community posts ("Your Content"). By sharing Your Content with other users or publicly within the App (for example, a shared trip or a community post), you grant TripLyt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the App's sharing and community features. You agree not to post content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or is abusive, hateful, or misleading.

6. AI-Generated Content

Itineraries, suggestions, translations, and Trip Info badges (weather, visas, safety, currency, and the rest) are generated by AI or pulled from third-party sources, and can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong — see our Privacy Policy for the full disclaimer. By using these features, you acknowledge that AI-generated content is provided for convenience only, and that you are responsible for verifying anything that matters — especially your safety, money, health, or entry requirements — against official sources.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

8. Third-Party Services and Links

The App integrates with third-party services, including Google Gemini for AI features, Google Places, Google Sign-In, and Unsplash for imagery, and it may link to external booking or travel services. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that party's own terms.

9. Intellectual Property

Aside from Your Content, all content, features, branding, and materials in the App are owned by the developer and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its content, including AI-generated content, will be accurate or reliable.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TripLyt and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on AI-generated content, third-party services, or any travel decisions made using the App.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time — see our account deletion page for how.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or on our website. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
